The SelectUSA Investment Summit, described as the highest-profile event in the United States dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment, will return to National Harbor, Maryland, from May 3 to May 6, 2026, bringing together investors, companies, and economic development organizations to pursue business opportunities.
The event will be held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center and is designed to connect thousands of participants from around the world. Organizers state that the summit facilitates investment by linking businesses with U.S. state and local representatives, industry experts, and policymakers.
Howard Lutnick, speaking on behalf of the United States Department of Commerce, announced that registration for the 2026 summit is now open and emphasized its role in international investment. “The Investment Summit is where America and the world get together to do deals to bring businesses to the largest economy in the world,” Lutnick said.
He pointed to the scale of the U.S. economy as a central draw for investors. “The United States’ $30 trillion economy is open for business, and this investment summit is where deals get done,” he said.
According to Lutnick, the previous summit set attendance records. “Last year, we broke all records. Over 5,500 attendees came from more than a hundred countries to make deals,” he said, attributing participation to continued interest in the U.S. market.
The secretary also described current economic policy priorities. “We’re reshoring supply chains, and we’re protecting those who invest in America, and we’re protecting our strategic sectors,” he said, adding that the goal is to reinforce the role of American workers in global economic activity.
The summit will include meetings with U.S. governors, economic development teams, chief executives, and industry leaders. Lutnick said attendees will be able to “see firsthand why America is the most inviting and the safest and the strongest and the most dynamic destination for investment in the world.”
