Texas Border Business
(Rio Grande City, October 20, 2015) As part of its annual October commemoration of lost souls and all things supernatural The Starr County Historical Foundation (SCHF) will host a unique event with a touch of Halloween, a splash of local delicious cuisine and a monstrous amount of fun. We recognize the community always looks at La Borde House this time of the year because of its history with paranormal activity and once again this will be the destination for a ghoulish good time. Our Film-Music-Food Event will feature a free screening of Alejandro Dominguez’s (The Dead Explorer) documentary about an actual paranormal investigation at La Borde House. We will also look at the winners of the SCHF Short Film Competition, which focused on capturing historical sites in Starr County.
After the screenings there will be live music, sampling of local cuisine and specialty drinks for everyone to enjoy!
About the documentary: The Dead Explorer and crew documented and investigated La Borde House, one of the most haunted places in Texas. The film follows the group on their journey and shows as with each moment the intensity rises as investigators are contacted by unseen forces, culminating with the voice of a ghost girl being caught on tape.
