Strengthening their networks on both sides of the border, Schaefer offers fully integrated steel and general cargo logistics services out of Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Laredo, Dallas, Altamira, Tampico, and Veracruz. Additionally, over the last couple of years the company has expanded to provide covered storage and all related logistical requirements for cargo with truck yards in San Luis Potosi and Monterrey primarily for the steel industry.

In July, Schaefer Stevedoring marked 30 years of doing business at the Port of Brownsville. The company was founded in 1991 by Ken Schaefer after he purchased the former company Philen Shipping Company.

“Schaefer Stevedoring has enjoyed a great degree of success due to the hard work of a lot of good people, some fortune and first-class personalized service,” said Schaefer.
