SBA to Host 2nd Annual Small Business Resource EXPO

HARLINGEN, TXOn Friday, September 12, 2014 the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will host its 2nd Annual  Small Business Resource EXPO specifically organized to help small business owners or anyone thinking of starting a business connect with representatives from federal, state and local business resource agencies.   The EXPO will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Harlingen Public Library located at 410 76 Drive, Harlingen, Texas.

The EXPO designed to be a one-stop shop includes the following resource organizations; Accion, GreenPath Debt Solution, Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), SCORE, Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council, Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, Cameron County Clerk’s Office, Workforce Solutions-Cameron, U. S. Small Business Administration, U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division, Women’s Business Center (WBC), Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) and the UTPA-Small Business Development Center (UTPA-SBDC).

Additionally, two breakout sessions will be offered.  The first session is scheduled for 9:30 AM presented by SCORE and entitled 5 Marketing Must-Haves for your business.  The second breakout session is scheduled for 10:30 AM, presented by UTPA-SBDC and entitled Customer Service Plus!

“The Small Business Resource EXPO concludes a series of Friday Informational Workshops delivered by the SBA throughout the year to help start, build and grow businesses,” stated Sylvia Zamponi, SBA District Director for the Lower Rio Grande Valley District.  “We truly work to provide every opportunity for entrepreneurs to succeed and this free expo is an excellent resource for success,” said Zamponi.
