CDCB is working on redeveloping the currently vacant building located at 1158 E. Elizabeth Street in Brownsville into a neighborhood market. There will be 39 Permanent Supportive Housing studio apartments and a small rooftop vegetable/herb farm.
The mission of Samano is a holistic vision bringing healthy foods, affordable housing, employment, economic development and historic preservation to historic downtown Brownsville.
