Harlingen, TX – Mayor Norma Sepulveda and the Harlingen Economic Development Corporation (EDC), in collaboration with the UTRGV Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center (ECC), have announced the launch of the RISE Up Harlingen Pitch Competition. This initiative, powered by the Advance Up Accelerator, aims to support early-stage startups and growing businesses by providing a platform for entrepreneurs to receive critical assistance and showcase their innovative ideas.

Orlando Campos, CEO of the Harlingen EDC, announced it also briefly during a recent meeting at the Port of Brownsville. Now all has been outlined for the competition, which will begin on Monday, July 22, and culminate in the RISE Up Harlingen Pitch Competition on Thursday, October 3. Entrepreneurs will compete for significant grant awards, with $30,000 for first place, $20,000 for second place, and $15,000 for third place.
