The Rio South Texas Economic Council (RSTEC) is a public and private association of economic development interests within the four southernmost Texas counties. RSTEC was formed to enhance knowledge of the area’s many assets; to foster the growth of the local economy; and to enhance the area’s competitiveness in order to attract capital investment and jobs.

“The SBA is pleased to work with RSTEC to drive economic development through business ownership,” said Sylvia Zamponi, SBA District Director. “The SAM is designed to spur economic development through small business growth, and to improve entrepreneurial education that advances greater access to capital, expanded technical assistance and access to procurement programs.”
