RGV FOCUS’ work is measurably improving education across the four-county region. The community partnership exists to make sure all children in the Rio Grande Valley get the education they need and deserve to achieve meaningful careers and lives.
The latest proof of this positive transformation was revealed at the Rio Grande Valley State of Education Luncheon on May 10, where RGV Focus hosted a packed room of education, business, civic and community leaders.
During the luncheon, the Greater Texas Foundation added to the excitement when they announced their renewed funding support with a donation of $1.25 million to continue the work they helped to ignite with RGV FOCUS in 2012.
We were also pleased to have hosted many reporters to share our big news.
The theme this year is
RGV Focus has much to celebrate about the work done together so far in the Rio Grande Valley, but it is important to keep the momentum going. There are still many opportunities to seize. It takes a continued commitment of time, resources and funding.
