The Rio Grande Valley Musician Changemaker Accelerator (MCA) Workshop invites local musicians to participate in a full-day incubator designed to nurture positive, music-driven, community-focused programs. This workshop will take place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the Edinburg Arts, Culture, and Events Center, in partnership with the City of Edinburg Cultural Arts and the national nonprofit Music to Life, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

The MCA Workshop is a dynamic, hands-on training opportunity for up to 15 musicians who are passionate about creating sustainable community programs through music. Participants will learn essential business skills, including proposal development, building strategic partnerships, and mobilizing community support.
Throughout the day, musicians will connect with local community leaders, industry innovators, and fellow changemakers. Additionally, participants will receive ongoing mentorship and technical support to fine-tune and troubleshoot their ideas, ensuring their projects have a lasting impact.

Applications are now open to musicians with community-based program ideas. Spaces are limited to 15 participants, so early applications are encouraged.
