EDINBURG, Texas – Hidalgo County Precinct 4, informed Texas Border Business of the successful completion of the Rincon De Encinos Subdivision No. 3 infrastructure improvements project. This transformative endeavor addressed long-standing drainage issues within the Rincon De Encinos subdivision and improved safety for residents with the installation of street lights.

“We are proud to announce the successful completion of another streetlight project” stated Ellie Torres, Hidalgo County Precinct 4 Commissioner. “This is the third subdivision that we lit up this year.  Improving the safety and security of residents that live in subdivisions where street lights were not installed is important to us.” The purpose of the Unincorporated Subdivision Street Light Program is to benefit subdivisions built prior to street light requirements established in 2018.

The Rincon De Encinos Subdivision No. 3 project is a testament to the commitment of Hidalgo County Precinct 4 and Hidalgo County Drainage District No.1 in prioritizing infrastructure improvements for the benefit of residents. The installation of a new pipe network and strategic re-grading of swales will significantly enhance stormwater management capabilities, mitigating flooding risks and safeguarding residential properties.

Mr. Pequeno, a resident of Rincon de Encinos, initially brought attention to the drainage challenges faced by the community. His advocacy played a pivotal role in initiating the project, which has resulted in tangible improvements for the neighborhood. His dedication to the betterment of Rincon De Encinos is duly acknowledged and appreciated.
