Ellie Torres, Hidalgo County Commissioner Precinct 4, will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the new canopy and expanded outdoor area at the Linn–San Manuel Fire Station. The station serves as the home of the Linn–San Manuel Volunteer Fire Department and the Texas A&M Forest Service.
With the Texas A&M Forest Service now operating from this location, secure and accessible storage for equipment became a high priority. The project delivers critical infrastructure improvements that strengthen emergency response capabilities and support the safety of the surrounding communities.

Site upgrades include a newly expanded outdoor area designed to accommodate large firefighting and emergency response vehicles, equipment, and trailers. These improvements enhance operational efficiency, allow for faster access to heavy-duty vehicles, and support quicker response times during emergencies such as wildfires, brush fires, and natural disasters.
