Hidalgo, Texas — Experience the synergy of world-class wine and elevated local cuisine on Thursday, July 31 at 7 PM, when renowned winemaker Rae Wilson—creator of La Valentía and visionary behind Wine for the People—teams up with rising local Chef Frida Salinas for an unforgettable 5‑course dinner and wine pairing, at the historic Old Hidalgo Pumphouse Museum. Hosted by RGVino, this event is part of its ongoing mission to bring the Rio Grande Valley community new and memorable culinary experiences featuring Texas and Mexican wines.

Meet the Winemaker: Rae Wilson

Rae Wilson, one of the pioneering female winemakers in Texas, has redefined the boundaries of Texas wine since founding Wine for the People in 2010. A veteran of roles as sommelier, wine educator, and cellar hand—from Napa Valley to Portugal—she launched her flagship Dandy Rosé in 2014 before unveiling the homage-laden La Valentía in 2019.
