Mercedes, TX- The Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show, Inc. recently hired Advertir, Inc. as agency of record for marketing & advertising services starting with their 2017 show. “We were very impressed with Advertir’s capabilities, knowledge of the Valley market and their media buying process”, said DJ Wernecke, the new general manager of the Livestock Show. “We look forward to a long & successful relationship with them”, Wernecke added.
Advertir, Inc. is a full service marketing & advertising agency based in McAllen since 1978. The core DNA of the company consist of strategic planning, computerized media analysis & buying, dual strategy creative development and hands on account management.
The 2016 Livestock Show was its 77th year and had over 300,000 people in attendance. The dates for next year’s show are March 8 thru 19 and will be extended to 12 full days. The show will feature livestock exhibitors, rodeos and a bigger & better carnival with 12 new rides. “We will have more free concerts and entertainment of all kinds”, said Wernecke. “If you spend the entire day with us you will see $100,000 worth of free entertainment for the $10 admission”, Wernecke concluded. Also, the 26 acre paved & stripped parking lot will be completed and there will be shuttle service available.
