EDINBURG, Texas – On December 14, the Border Patrol’s Rio Grande Valley Sector (RGV) Foreign Operations Branch (FOB) received information from McAllen Station (MCS) agents regarding a group of 22 subjects being staged northwest of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, on the bank of the Rio Grande.
RGV FOB shared this information with the Government of Mexico (GoM) authorities, which led to the rescue of 22 migrants. The rescue was the result of real time information sharing between MCS Field Commanders, Office of Air & Marine (AMO), the RGV Foreign Operations Branch (FOB), and the GoM.
All subjects were taken into custody by the Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM) to be processed accordingly.
