PHARR, Texas – The Rio Grande Valley Literacy Center Board of Trustees has named Nora Musule the new Executive Director. Musule’s background in the non-profit arena, combined with a deep passion for promoting literacy in our community- will help to further advance the mission of the organization. “We are thrilled to welcome Nora as our new Executive Director,” says RGVLC Board of Directors. “She will bring experience, enthusiasm, great communication skills and a fresh air to our organization.”
The Rio Grande Valley Literacy Center provides economic opportunities by empowering our communities through adult education and literacy. Today the RGVLC offers classes to the residents in Hidalgo County – in the cities of Alamo, Alton, Donna, Edinburg, McAllen, Mercedes, Penitas, Pharr, Progreso, San Juan, and Weslaco. Its goal is to eventually offer classes in additional communities and counties in order to bring about systemic change in the Rio Grande Valley.
