Business owners are encouraged to become members of the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce during their “Spring Membership Drive” scheduled for April 23rd & 24th.  Businesses can receive benefits such as Networking events, listing on the new On-Line categorized Membership Directory, ability to post your own promotions and company needs on-line thru the Chamber Master, membership to the National and State Hispanic Chambers, access to the entire memberships information, etc.

Your membership also allows you to travel with the chamber to the state and national Capitol to meet with our legislators.

“Become a member of this award-winning Chamber”, noted Nilda Paxman, Vice Chair of Membership.  ‘Consider becoming a member of the Compadre Ambassadors and promote your company while performing ribbon cuttings, assisting at events, etc.”  “There is no fee for participating as a Compadre Ambassador, but the publicity that your company will receive is invaluable,” Paxman added.  The RGVHCC accepts all business owners as members.  You do not have to be Hispanic to be part of this chamber.  “We have many members that are non-Hispanic as they see the benefit of what the RGHCC provides.”

The staff consists of only 3 people so retiree’s are always welcome to assist.  “Even though we’re only 3 staff members, we are able to host a large number of events and numerous workshops that assist / inform our members and the Valley, all due to our dedication and love for what to do” stated Cynthia M. Sakulenzki, RGVHCC Pres/CEO.  Our funds come solely from our membership dues, corporate partnerships, and fundraising events.  “We ask that you seriously consider becoming a member, whether you think you’re not able to attend our monthly Manic Monday Mixers or other events, as we’re sure that there will be an event or workshop that will target your business and you will make time to attend.

Memberships are merely $200 for a small business of 25 members or less.  Membership fees go up as per employee count.  “It’s well worth your annual investment for your business” noted Nathan Obregon, Chairman of the Board.
