“It was a complete surprise to have been nominated and selected for this distinguished award presented by the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,” states Dr. Carol G. Perez, superintendent. “I am truly humbled to be among these remarkable women that have made so many meaningful contributions in their fields. This award would not have been possible without the hard work of all our students, parents, board of trustees, staff, and administration. I will continue to advocate for education as well as for our students and staff not for recognition but because it is my lifelong calling and passion.”
This awards dinner honors women in this region from a variety of fields ranging from government to essential leader. The RGV Hispanic Chamber promotes economic development and assists businesses to access the Hispanic market through networking, promoting education, and by nurturing leadership.
