The RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce women’s committee proudly announces the 2023 winners of the Women of Distinction. The ladies were all chosen from over 35 candidates from all over the valley. They will be honored at the annual “Hats Off to Women of Distinction Awards Dinner” on Wednesday, March 8th, better known as International Women’s Day, all over the world. The evening consists of a cocktail hour, Mariachi entertainment, prizes, a delicious dinner, and wonderful speeches by all of the winners.
The women are all experts and professionals in different categories: They are all judged by not only what and how well they do their job and how well they represent their field, but also how involved they are in the community. The selection was extremely hard as everyone nominated had gone above and beyond what the norm is in their field. The honorees this year are Dr. Ashley Bose, Health; Maria Leonard, Education; Gabriela Rodriguez Government; Michelle Franco Mar Entrepreneur; Aisha Gonzalez Professional; Iliana Villalobos, Rising Star; Leticia Leija, Arts & Entertainment; Della Fay Rose Rodriguez and Lupita Perez, Military. HEB will announce the Essential Leader during the awards dinner.
