Edinburg, Texas, June 10th – The Rio Grande Valley FC Toros (5-3-4) will defend their home turf against Oklahoma City Energy FC (4-1-4). The match will take place at UTRGV Soccer and Track Complex on Saturday, June 11th at 7:30p.m.
The Toros will want to regain their form after a tough match against Swope Park Rangers. Rio Grande Valley lost 4-0. Swope Park Rangers’ Mark Anthony Gonzalez scored the first two goals of the game. The first goal was at the 23rd minute mark after collecting a ball inside the box. His second goal was at the 27th minute mark. The Rangers would find the back of the net again in the first half when Kevin Oliviera scored on the 43rd minute. Daniel Salloi scored the last goal in the 70th minute to make it 4-0. Kevin Oliviera finished the game with one goal and three assists.
Oklahoma City Energy FC is coming back from a road win. The club defeated Tulsa Roughnecks 2-0 at ONEOK Field. Kyle Hyland got both assists in the game. He assisted Wojciech Wojcik in the 20th minute before assisting Daniel Gonzalez eight minutes later.
The Rio Grande Valley Toros play Sacramento Republic FC next on June 18 at Bonney Field. That match will kick off of 10:00p.m. OKC Energy FC will take on Swope Park Rangers next, also on June 18.
