EDINBURG, Texas (April 10, 2020) – The Rio Grande Valley FC will kick off an online talk show, sponsored by Delia’s Tamales, which allows fans to interact directly with two Toros players and one special guest; “Toros Unwrapped: Wake Up and Smell the Tamales.” The first episode will be live on Thursday, April 16 at 9:30 a.m. CT.
Toros Unwrapped will be hosted on Zoom, a video conference platform, where our first host, Toros President Ron Patel, and two players from the club will be speaking to 10 fans in attendance while also answering questions regarding their current life during the COVID-19 pandemic, how they are staying soccer-ready, and much more while they enjoy some tamales.
Each episode will be approximately 30 minutes set for every Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. CT. The club will feature different guest hosts, players and fans in each episode throughout the series. Every episode will be streamed on the Toros’ YouTube channel.
With the USL’s suspension of play and with the pandemic, we are all currently going through difficult times that require social distancing in order to be safe and healthy. This initiative promotes social distancing while enhancing the club’s capability to interact, engage and connect with the Toros, our front office and the Rio Grande Valley community virtually; no matter where you are.
