Here are your three key points:
- This year has been a difficult one for everyone, especially for the Toros’ organization these past weeks. After a little over of three long weeks of no soccer action, RGV FC snapped the 12-game winless streak with a 2-0 upset win to Austin Bold FC. The Toros kept a clean sheet while earning the first-ever win against the Bold bringing their overall record between the two to 1-5-0. Along with some club records, Kyle Adams appeared for a total of 60 matches, 58 starts with the club.Â
- Juan Carlos Azocar debuted with RGV FC, earning 61 minutes adding one total shot, one on target and created one chance. Juan Carlos Obregon Jr. and Kyle Edwards electrified the pitch in front of 700+ fans. Edwards was able to score the lead for the Toros in the 41st minute after a great well-fought header to goal, while scoring his second career goal. Obregon Jr. closed off the matchup by striking a penalty kick past Austin’s goalkeeper.Â
- OKC Energy FC enters the matchup after 3-2 loss against FC Tulsa during their midweek face off. Rafael Garcia ranks 6th in the USL Championship with a total of 80 crosses. He also leads the club with a total of 21 chances created and two assists. C.J. Cochran ranks 7th in the Championship with 39 total saves while having kept two clean sheets but conceding 19 goals.
