The Texas Senate adopted Senate Resolution No. 196 recognizing February 22, 2023, as Rio Grande Valley Day at the State Capitol.
The RGV is a thriving region and we continue to make progress in workforce development, transportation, border infrastructure, healthcare, and educational opportunities. We appreciate our public officials, business and community leaders and all those who made the trip to the Capitol to promote and advocate for the needs of the Rio Grande Valley.

She has the experience, knows the legislators and the legislative process, and has the knowledge of the duties and responsibilities required for this position. Besides elections, another responsibility includes serving as an ambassador for Texas which will require her to work with other nations for the betterment of our state economy, currently the ninth largest in the world.
