RGV Agents Seize over $2.7M worth of Drugs

EDINBURG, Texas – Since Friday, agents seized over 315 pounds of marijuana and more than 75 pounds of cocaine. 

On Friday, Fort Brown agents conducting patrol operations near Brownsville, Texas, discovered three black plastic bags at the bottom of a canal. A search of the bags revealed more than 35 pounds of marijuana worth approximately $28K. An additional search of the area yielded negative results.

Saturday evening, Harlingen agents working near La Gloria, Texas, observed a subject running south of the river levee. Agents searched the nearby field and discovered four bundles of marijuana weighing more than 283 pounds of marijuana, worth more than $226K.

Additionally, agents assigned to the checkpoints seized approximately 75 pounds of cocaine, worth more than $2.4M in two separate incidents.
