On April 28, a Weslaco Border Patrol Station agent provided medical assistance to a U.S. citizen who was involved in a single vehicle accident near Alamo. The agent approached the disabled vehicle, found a passenger injured and trapped inside of the vehicle, and stabilized her with a cervical collar. Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers, EMS, and the Pharr Fire Department responded. The passenger was safely extracted from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Oftentimes, areas agents patrol can be desolate and inaccessible and without their quick response distressed subjects could succumb to their injuries while waiting for help to arrive. So far, this fiscal year, agents have made more than 450 rescues.

Later that evening, Kingsville Border Patrol Station agents observed several subjects load into a GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado north of the Javier Vega Jr. Checkpoint. Agents attempted to initiate a vehicle stop on the occupants of both vehicles. Both vehicles failed to yield, and two vehicle pursuits ensued. The driver of the GMC Sierra drove through a perimeter fence and all subjects bailed out. The Chevrolet Silverado was later found abandoned. Agents apprehended two injured Salvadoran nationals determined to be in the U.S. illegally. EMS was requested and the migrants were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The drivers were not located.

Border Patrol processed all subjects accordingly.
