EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Sector (RGV) Border Patrol agents arrest 45 migrants in a Sullivan City, Texas, stash house and disrupt a migrant smuggling attempt with Hidalgo County Constables.
Yesterday morning, McAllen Border Patrol Station agents responded to an Hidalgo County constable’s request for assistance on a vehicle stop near the cross street of Los Ebanos and 2 Mile Road in Mission, Texas. Agents interviewed the subjects from the vehicle and determined the two United States citizens were smuggling two Mexican citizens. Agents took custody of both U.S. citizens and the smuggled migrants. All individuals were transported to the McAllen station for processing.
Shortly after, RGV agents received information regarding a Sullivan City, Texas, residence being used to harbor illegally present migrants. RGV agents encountered and apprehended 45 migrants at the location. The migrants are citizens of Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Brazil. Within the group were two unaccompanied children from Guatemala. No caretaker was identified.
Border Patrol processed all subjects accordingly.
