The McAllen Chamber proudly announces the Tacos ‘n Tequila Craft Cocktail event – first of its kind! This event will be held at the Chamber on Friday, April 20 at 7:00 p.m., the night before the “Sizzling in the Tropics” BBQ Cook-off and will feature 10 of our areas top local restaurants creating custom tequila craft cocktails with Embajador Tequila.
So far, the restaurants include Santa Fe Steakhouse, Republic of the Rio Grande, SALT–New American Table, House.Wine. & Bistro, Infusions and Palenque Grill. The event will also feature tacos made by Cornerstone Grill, which will feature Trompo this year and have them served to guests as they enjoy the delicious craft cocktails and a live musical performance by Leonado Barron who is currently promoting his single Por Amarte.
Anyone 21 years and over can enjoy Tacos ‘n Tequila for $20 or pay $30, presale, and also attend the “Sizzling in the Tropics” BBQ Cook-off scheduled for the following day, Saturday, April 21 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.
Anyone wanting to attend only the “Sizzling in the Tropics” BBQ Cook-off can attend for $20 and can enjoy samples from all 35 cooking teams, a beverage garden, local bands including Eddie Saenz, Southern Ashes and Buck ’n Crazy. Children 10 and under accompanied by an adult eat free! Cooking teams interested in signing up to participate, contact Gerry Garcia at the Chamber at 682-2871.
You don’t want to miss this first-time ever event! Tacos ‘n Tequila is scheduled for Friday, April 20 from 7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. and “Sizzling in the Tropics” BBQ Cook-off & Car Show is scheduled for Saturday, April 21 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.
