Congressman Henry Cuellar

Mission, TX – Congressmen Henry Cuellar (TX-28) and Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) will hold a press conference on Monday, December 2, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm CST to announce $374,580 in federal funds for University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. These funds, awarded through the USDA Rural Development grant program, will assist the University in providing resources and guidance to rural counties across South Texas regarding economic development.

Following the announcement, they will provide media partners from the Rio Grande Valley with an update on legislative priorities and will discuss topics including appropriations, border trade, recent grant funding to the Rio Grande Valley, as well as immigration. Congressman Cuellar will also be talking about his recent trip to Mexico City to discuss USMCA and immigration issues with high-ranking Mexican officials.
