Laredo, Texas—Yesterday,U.S.Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) received an award recognizing him as a Medicare Advantage Champion for Seniors.
“The soaring price of quality healthcare is a great burden for seniors who are on a fixed income,” said Congressman Cuellar. “That is why I have spent my legislative career fighting for reliable, affordable and accessible healthcare coverage. Most recently, I introduced the Bipartisan Choose Home Care Act of 2021. This legislation will allow people recovering from a hospitalization to choose to receive post-hospital services in their homes—significantly expanding the existing Medicare home health benefit and saving people money.”
Congressman Cuellar continued, “I am extremely grateful for this award and will continue fighting for healthcare opportunities for our seniors. The Build Back Better Act will expand Medicare to include hearing care and extended relief though insurance purchased through the Affordable Care Act. We will also improve our telemedicine infrastructure so that our communities have more reliable access to these quality services from the comfort of their own home.
