Edinburg, TX—On December 3, 2017, the Renaissance Cancer Foundation and the community came together for the annual Holiday Gala at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance. This year’s gala featured two-time Las Vegas Headliner of the Year Frankie Moreno. Representatives from the Gala’s platinum sponsors – Lone Star National Bank, Bert Ogden, Love Your Cha Chas and DHR Health – are proud to present a check for $345,700 to the Renaissance Cancer Foundation.

Frankie Moreno captivated the audience with his mix of rat pack glamour, original and classic hits and vintage funk-infused sounds. Moreno also dedicated a song in memory of Javier Garza, a former pediatric cancer patient at DHR Health whose positive and energetic spirit inspired so many people throughout the community.

The Renaissance Cancer Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide support for cancer patients in the Rio Grande Valley. Since 2008, the Renaissance Cancer Foundation has dedicated its efforts to building community awareness while providing cancer education, emotional support, financial assistance and guidance for underserved patients. The funds raised at the 2017 Gala will allow the Foundation to fulfill their mission of providing local patients with services to help them during their cancer journey.
