The McAllen Police Department is proud to announce that registration will continue this next week for the 18th Annual Christmas for Kids program, a beloved holiday tradition that brings joy and gifts to children across our community. This year’s celebration will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, where hundreds of toys will be distributed thanks to the generosity of local businesses, organizations, and community sponsors.
Over nearly two decades, Christmas for Kids has grown into one of the department’s most cherished outreach events and it would not be possible without the continued support of caring partners committed to making the season brighter for McAllen families.
Registration is open Monday through Friday next week at the McAllen Police Department.
Parents are encouraged to register early. Requirements include:
- Child must be 12 years old or younger
- Proof of child’s age must be provided
- Family must be present on the morning of December 20 to receive the toy
