The 15th Anniversary of the State of Real Estate Forum was celebrated on Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance and the event did not disappoint! Edwards Abstract and Title Co. welcomed a record crowd and has gained fantastic support since the Forum was introduced in 2004. The informative presentations continue to be in high demand by those who want to gain insight on not only the local economy but the state and national economic outlook. Over 300 of the region’s real estate industry professionals, civic and business leaders attended the Forum.
Newly elected Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez accepted Edwards’ invitation to serve as the guest speaker. Judge Cortez focused his presentation on the importance of economic development that has an overall affect on the continued growth of Hidalgo County. “As the guest speaker at the Edwards Abstract and Title Co.’s 15th Annual State of the Real Estate Forum, I spoke on what objectives I have for Hidalgo County, our rapid growth both in population and in development, as well as the need to continue attracting investment and having open communication on our region and its safety. It was a pleasure to share the stage with Chief Economist, Ted C. Jones to provide a perspective of the needs of our community!” said Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez.
Dr. Ted C. Jones’ presentation titled, AXIOMS: An Outlook & Forecast for the Economy, Real Estate and Life provided insight and statistics on the national, state and local job markets and specific local real estate market analysis and various other indicators that relate to the Valley’s economy. “Edwards Abstract and Title Co. does a commendable job in coordinating the Real Estate Forum and communicating with their customers that the Forum is the place to be year after year. I enjoy coming to the area every year. Congratulations to the Edwards’ leadership for making this a priority of their company’s business model,” said Dr. Jones.
