Texas Border Business
I am running to help rebuild and unite the GOP in Hidalgo County. We have a tremendous amount of work to do. I hope all conservatives who have abandoned political efforts re-enter the fight through this party effort. If done with sincerity and integrity it can become a genuine and effective grassroots endeavor again. There is some “soul searching” underway in this party. I believe the GOP should, with laser intensity, refocus its efforts on protecting and advocating our most precious founding principle, liberty.
Some is media pretend to be sacrosanct when it comes to lightning rod issues like politics. But with 17 years in media I believe that many in my industry simply pretend that there is no bias and parade themselves as intellectuals with “no clothes”.
I mince no words and offer no apology for what I believe to be true. Government does provide life, property, and liberty to an individual and it has no right to take it. We must rethink the role of central government and arrest its present tyrannical size. It is a threat to our children’s future and with two small boys I am more passionate than ever to get in this fight.
The effort to reclaim our uniquely American Constitution based culture and reapply these principles of liberty in all sectors (industry, justice, academic) begin at the local level.
I’m calling all conservatives to relearn the Constitution, introspectively examine your ideas of politics and society, take inventory of your beliefs and have the courage to discard anything that does not fit the American Constitution model. There is too much subsidy for industry and individuals – too many feeding at the trough. We can and must be expected to take care of ourselves and our own, and this includes bringing back to the local level the role of benevolence. Individuals, families, neighborhoods, and CHURCHES (especially) must step up immediately and take care of their own.
We must meet at the polls. Let’s work these elections, learn procedure, codes and law and recruit uncompromising, common sense filled, fiscally responsible, qualified advocates of liberty to run for ALL offices. There are no political checks and balances in Hidalgo County and this must be addressed post haste.
All Americans have a great deal to relearn and apply.
Solutions to our social ills should always be enlightened through the prism of liberty. May our markets enjoy freedom to create more prosperous individuals. May these citizens learn to fail and succeed in order to provide the capital and wealth required for a better America. Que viva America, que viva el capitalismo, que viva la libertad!
