Congratulations are in order for attorney Ray Thomas, who recently celebrated a remarkable achievement on the eve of his 60th birthday. Thomas announced on social media, “On the last day of my 60th year, I was inducted into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers in Park City, Utah. It is a high honor and privilege I do not share alone.”
Thomas’s induction into this prestigious organization demonstrates his distinguished legal career, which spans decades and includes numerous accolades. He is board-certified in Civil Trial Law and has been recognized repeatedly as a Super Lawyer, an honor awarded to the top 5% of attorneys in Texas. His law practice, the Ray Thomas Law Group, is known for handling complex litigation across the United States and internationally, with a particular focus on cross-border disputes.
In his heartfelt post, Thomas expressed gratitude to his support system: “None of this would be possible without the support of my wife, my family, and my firm. Behind every MVP is an MVT (Most Valuable Team).” He also extended a special thanks to attorney Michael Guerra for nominating him for this prestigious recognition.
The International Academy of Trial Lawyers, founded in 1954, is widely regarded as the most esteemed organization of trial lawyers globally. The Academy limits its membership to 500 active trial lawyers from the United States and includes over 150 international Fellows from nearly 40 countries. Membership is by invitation only and involves a rigorous vetting process, including peer and judicial review. The Academy is dedicated to recognizing those who have excelled in the courtroom and demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to their communities through pro bono work.
Ray Thomas’s induction into this elite group underlines his career of excellence and ongoing legal contributions. His recognition as a Fellow in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers is a well-deserved honor, reflecting his dedication to justice and exceptional skill as a trial lawyer.
