EDINBURG, Texas – With a cold front swiftly approaching South Texas, Palm Valley Animal Society is turning to the community for help in ensuring the safety and well-being of the approximately 350 dogs housed at our PVAS Trenton Center, most of whom reside in outdoor kennels. The drop in temperatures poses a significant challenge to these pets, and we are reaching out to the compassionate hearts of the Rio Grande Valley for support.

How to Help:

  • Visit Our Amazon Wishlist: To streamline the donation process, we have an Amazon Wishlist, where our “Lifesavers,” can directly purchase and send the items to our shelter. This “Cold Weather Wishlist” can be found at https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/ZPJ69NX7LIUP/ref=hz_ls_biz_ex.

  • Foster a Dog in Need: In addition to in-kind donations, we are asking our lifesavers who can open their homes to our dogs during this cold front. Fostering provides our four-legged friends with a warm and comfy place to stay, ensuring their safety and well-being during this challenging time. If you can foster a dog, please contact us at (956) 278-0702 or email us at  foster@pvastx.org.

Palm Valley Animal Society is committed to the welfare of animals in our care, and your support can make a significant difference in ensuring their safety during this weather crisis. Your generosity and compassion can provide a lifeline to those in need.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the community for standing with us during this crucial time, and together, we can keep our shelter pets warm and safe.
