EDINBURG, Texas – Palm Valley Animal Society (PVAS) announced that 604 pets found homes or rescue partners in August, surpassing tthe original goal of 500. This achievement reflects the compassion of the community and the support of NBCUniversal and Telemundo, who’s Clear the Shelters campaign helped drive awareness across the Rio Grande Valley.
This milestone also marks the beginning of the responsible transfer of pets from our Trenton facility as they continue to consolidate operations at the Laurie P. Andrews Center. While this transition is underway, both locations remain open to the public for adoptions, fostering, and community services:
Laurie P. Andrews Center
2451 N Expressway 281, Edinburg, TX 78541
PVAS Trenton Center
2501 W Trenton Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539
Even with last month’s success, hundreds of pets are still waiting for homes, including an unusually high number of puppies. To keep this lifesaving momentum going, PVAS is offering waived adoption fees on all puppies from September 5–7at both locations.
The community is invited to visit, meet the animals, and continue making a difference. Every adoption opens space for another pet in need and helps us move forward with our mission of compassionate care.
