At just 14 years old, financial difficulties pushed Sony into the workforce, where she got her first taste of the business world. “I had to start working at 14,” she recounts. Despite knowing little about the industry, her love affair with the Republic of the Rio Grande, a local restaurant she and her husband Albert bought, showcases her fearless approach to seizing new opportunities. “When I entered that place, I fell in love with the Republic of the Rio Grande,” she recalls. It was a leap of faith driven by passion, hard work, and the belief that anything is possible with the right mindset.
