Two Texas State Senators took part of the recognition ceremony of the Ochoa Family. They honored their history in business and for their valuable contribution to the State of Texas. As originally published by Texas Border Business newsprint edition March 2017.

When I learned that the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature honored Don Pancho Ochoa, I wasn’t surprised. If anyone deserves this recognition it is he and all the Ochoa family.

For years, Don Pancho has worked hard, he has created new food concepts that have become popular, in Mexico and the U.S. We all know that he is an outstanding businessman, however not many know that he is a kind soul, who gives back to his community wherever it is possible.

His journey has taken more than forty years; along the way, he has faced real challenges. But his attitude is to never surrender to adversity, because according to Don Pancho, “There is always room to be better”.

Don Pancho’s concept of success is believing first on an idea. He believes that we all have infinite potential. Then you can be active or passive. “If you decide to be passive.” He said, “Don’t expect a miracle that will give you what you need.”

This is an inspiring story, a must read. Learn that he bases his success on simple values which he calls main ingredients; family, friendship, love… and above all faith.

About Mexico

If you want to know what’s coming ahead, in this issue I have added an article titled “The Race for the Mexican Presidency Begins”.  Amid the turmoil emanating from the U.S. election, Mexico is entering its own presidential transition period. Though political reforms have shortened the length of the formal campaigns, which don’t start until early 2018, for all intents and purposes the 2018 race is already in the go mode. Enjoy!

Good news. The U.S. Senate confirmed President Donald Trump’s nomination of Linda E. McMahon as the 25th Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Great!
