The City of McAllen, in cooperation with the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) propose to widen Bentsen Road from the existing two-lane, 80-foot right-of-way rural roadway into a five-lane, 100-foot, ROW urban roadway.
Two public meetings will be held to gather input from the public.
One will be a virtual meeting. The virtual meeting will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components. The presentation will be posted online by Wednesday October 9, 2024, by 5:00 p.m. and will remain online for at least 15 days.

The in-person option will be held in an open house format. In-person attendees will be able to view the same presentation delivered in the online public meeting which will be playing on a screen, review hard copies of project materials, ask questions to the City of McAllen, TxDOT, staff and/or consultants, and leave written comments.
