PHARR – Congratulations to PSJA Southwest Early College HS Senior Natalie Di Grazia and Junior Adaylin Alvarez for advancing and qualifying to the National Speech and Debate Association Annual Gulf Coast District Tournament.
Adaylin will be competing in Informative Speaking and Natalie in Humorous Interpretation in Salt Lake City, Utah June 11 through June 18 against students from across the country. Adaylin and Natalie will be looking to become the first National Champions from the Rio Grande Valley.
This is Natalie’s second consecutive trip to Nationals which is a prestigious honor. Last year, she qualified in Duo Acting and was placed in the top 50 Duo’s in the Nation. Adaylin and Natalie are two of four students from the RGV and Corpus Christi area who qualified in their respective events.
