PHARR – PSJA Southwest Early College High School graduate Jacqueline (Jackie) Gutierrez, 4-year Varsity lettermen for the Lady Javelina softball team signed to continue playing the sport at Dallas Christian College, during a ceremony surrounded with her family, coaches, and friends on June 21, 2021.
During her time at PSJA Southwest, she has been recognized as an outstanding outfielder. This season, she was selected as a 2nd Team All-District outfielder for the 31-5A District. She was also one of the recipients of the Javelina Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year award. Jacqueline’s other accolades have included, being recognized as an Honorable Mention outfielder, and receiving the Javelina Spirit Award.
Jacqueline was also a multi-sport student athlete which included volleyball and track. She was actively involved with other organizations such as: Future Farmers of America, Law Enforcement club, Mock Trial club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the PSJA Southwest Angels.
While at Dallas Christian College, Jackie plans to major in Sports Psychology. Congratulations!
