PHARR – PSJA North Early College High School Basketball Player Daunte Galvan has signed a letter of intent to continue playing the sport at Arkansas State University Mid-South.
Galvan was a 4-year letterman, was the 30-6A MVP, scored 1,000 points his Senior year and was also ranked The Monitor’s 1st Team All-Valley, TABC All-Region, and was part of the RGV Viper All-State Showcase. During his Junior year he led in the Nation in 3pt attempts and 3pts made, as well as being ranked:
1st in the Nation-free throws made (277)
1st in the State of Texas in 3 pts made (113)
2nd in the State of Texas in 6A Scoring Average (28.6pts)
2nd in the State of Texas in free field goals made (305)
4th in the State of Texas in Steals (104)
“Daunte is the all-time leading scorer in the history of PSJA ISD with 2,980 points in his time here at PSJA North,” said his Coach Jaime Gongora.
While at Arkansas State he plans to major in Business Administration.
“I am thankful and blessed,” Galvan said. “Just a big thank you to my PSJA Family for this accomplishment.”
