PSJA North Raider signs with Southwestern University to play Baseball

PHARR – Andres Palacios, a senior at PSJA North Early College High School, signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Southwestern University during a special ceremony held at his school today.

Andres is a well-rounded student with baseball skills and a great academic record. He made Varsity as a freshman, starting as 1st baseman, was named 2nd Team All-District his sophomore year and defensive player of the year. As a 4-year letterman he has had three playoff appearances.

He will be graduating under the Distinguished Level of Achievement with Collegiate Honors and 42 dual credit hours from South Texas College. He has also accumulated over 60 hours of community service at DHR Health’s Orthopedic Therapy Institute. He plans to major in Kinesiology while at Southwestern and plans to pursue physical therapy in the future.
