ALAMO – PSJA Memorial Early College High School will be hosting a three-way football scrimmage with Harlingen High School and Weslaco High School this Friday, Aug. 17 at 6:30 pm at PSJA Stadium. This scrimmage is in participation of the Texas High School Coaches Association’s “Our Day to Shine,” which is an initiative designed to help student-athletes who are in need or are dealing with hardships. All of the proceeds will be donated to the THSCEF Benevolence Fund.
The THSCEF Benevolence Fund was established by the Texas High School Coaches Association Board of Directors to assist athletes and coaches with special needs or hardships. To date, over 900 schools have participated in “Our Day to Shine” and have raised over $514,000. The THSCEF has paid over $536,000 to athletes and coaches with special needs.
