The College & Career Tailgate is designed to inspire and equip students of all grade levels, as well as their families, with resources, information, and connections to prepare for life after graduation. Attendees were able to enjoy a variety of interactive activities, games, and opportunities to explore the many college and career pathways available through PSJA’s Nationally Recognized Early College Program.

“We are committed to providing meaningful experiences that spark curiosity, not just for our current seniors, but for our younger students as well, to help prepare and excite them for when they’re in high school,” said Carlos Garcia, PSJA College Transition Director. “This event is a unique opportunity for our students to connect with universities, professionals, and resources that will guide them on the path to success.”

For PSJA ECHS Senior Alessa Gonzalez, the event served as an important opportunity to begin planning for the future.

“Being able to talk to different departments and learn about different scholarship opportunities in one place makes it easy for me. As a senior, I want to take advantage of every resource that PSJA has to offer so I can prepare for college and make my transition as easy as possible.”

Beyond the education opportunities, the tailgate offered a festive atmosphere with fun games, music, and school spirit, making it a memorable evening for the whole PSJA Community.
