PHARR – PSJA ISD School Board, Superintendent Dr. Jorge L. Arredondo and City of Pharr Mayor Dr. Ambrosio Hernandez signed the official agreement of the City of Pharr-PSJA ISD Natatorium located on Sioux Rd. and Frontage (Highway 281).
PSJA ISD presented a check for $12,225,000 to the city for this joint agreement unanimously approved by the school board on Oct. 25, 2021. As part of the agreement, both PSJA ISD and the City of Pharr will share usage and costs of maintenance and repairs of the facility.
The leaders did an official walk through of the facility that will help further expand the PSJA ISD Aquatics Program. This facility, along with the pools recently completed in San Juan at PSJA Early College HS and Alamo at PSJA Memorial ECHS are some of the best recreational and competition aquatic facilities south of San Antonio.
