  • A 3% increase from the midpoint for all other administrative/professional, clerical/paraprofessionals, and auxiliary employees
  • $1,250 one-time loyalty stipend for full-time employees employed during the 2023-2024 school year as of August 26, 2024, and returning for 2024-2025

Compensation increases for teachers will continue to position PSJA ISD’s starting pay for teachers among the highest in the region. Additionally, PSJA ISD will continue to pay 100% of healthcare under the base plan at no cost for all full-time employees.

“At PSJA ISD, we’re a family, and this is part of our efforts to do what is best for our students and our staff,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Alejandro Elias. “Thank you to our School Board for their vision and support in approving this compensation plan, and I commend our Business Office for ensuring we have a balanced budget for the 2024-2025 school year.”

In addition to continuing to offer competitive starting pay for teachers during the 2024-2025 school year, PSJA ISD was approved for the Texas Education Agency’s Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) in 2022-2023. The district will continue an incentive program aimed at providing outstanding teachers with an accessible pathway to a six-figure salary. Currently, 28% of PSJA ISD teachers earn a salary of more than $80,000.
