PHARR – PSJA ISD Career & Technical Education Coordinator for Business and Industry Yolanda Garcia was recently named to serve on the National Business Professionals of America Board of Directors.  

Business Professionals of America is the premier CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) for students pursuing careers in business management, information technology, finance, office administration and other related career fields. With 45,000 members in over 1,800 chapters across 25 states and Puerto Rico, BPA is a co-curricular organization that supports business and information technology educators by offering co-curricular exercises based on national standards. 

Garcia is a 12-year veteran of the Education profession. During this time, she has been a BPA classroom teacher and sponsor and a Regional Supervisor. As CTE Coordinator, she oversees PSJA’s numerous BPA clubs and activities at the local, district, and regional levels. It is due to her dedication and commitment to PSJA business students that her efforts and professionalism to the BPA standards have made her a standout amongst her peers.

Ms. Garcia will fulfill her duties as a National Board member with integrity and with students’ best interest at heart. 

“We are so proud to have her as part of our CTE team,” said PSJA CTE Director Griselda Quintanilla.
