Texas Border Business
Alamo, Texas – PSJA Memorial Early College High School runner Teidra Maldonado competed against hundreds of athletes from across the world last month at the 2018 Down Under Sports International Games in Queensland, Australia.
Teidra was selected to represent the USA and Texas on the 2018 Track & Field team and was the only female athlete to compete from the Rio Grande Valley. At PSJA ISD, the incoming junior is part of the Varsity Track & Field, Soccer and Volleyball teams.
Down Under Sports recruits athletes from all 50 US states and invites them to participate in a 10-day tournament against athletes from around the world. The 10-day tournament was held July 8-18, 2018 and it included football, cross country, golf, track and field, basketball and volleyball.
