Texas Border Business
Rick Carrera, COSTEP Director of Economic Development attended Consultant Connect Economix 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah this past November as part of COSTEP’s efforts to promote the Rio South Texas Region. Economix 2024 is billed as an unparalleled three-day event created for economic developers by economic developers. This annual gathering goes beyond the traditional conference experience, offering a unique blend of connections, inspiration, innovation, and relationship building with site consultants.
The conference offers keynote speakers which allow attendees to gain invaluable insights into industry trends, site consultant perspectives, and compelling messages to elevate one’s leadership skills. Additionally, the event offers the opportunity to engage with over 24 site consultants through Office Hours and small group activities, ensuring attendees maximize their Economix experience.
In regard to the event, Mr. Carrera stated, “The excellent connections made will benefit everyone in attendance, the communities they represent, and their organizations. The over 30 site selectors present exhibited the utmost professionalism, and the discussions with them will prove to be invaluable to efforts moving forward. The very informative breakout sessions were a plus… everyone brought their A-game. Time well spent, to say the least!”
