Rio Grande Valley, Texas – (August 8, 2017) – Renfro Foods is a 77 year old family owned company based in Fort Worth, Texas. They have been successfully competing against global conglomerates almost since the beginning. Today the company is world famous for their salsas, but Renfro Foods has had to change strategies and update their product lines many times to keep up with consumer tastes. Doug Renfro, the third generation to take over the family business, will be coming to McAllen to speak to The American Advertising Federation about how small businesses can compete & thrive in an ever globalizing economy. In his presentation, Selling as David in a world of Goliaths, Doug will provide lots of examples and humor to illustrate his points, strategies and philosophies, so be prepared to smile!
Doug Renfro was reared in the family business and now oversees new product development, and manages a number of areas in the business including sales, purchasing, and strategy. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Texas, and is active in a number of professional and community organizations, including a position on the board of TCU’s Neeley School of Business Entrepreneurship.
The AAF-RGV holds monthly luncheons featuring leaders of the advertising industry to educate members and the public about advertising issues, trends and techniques.
